I want to make chocolate candies for my family as gifts this year but most of them I have to ship via Fed-Ex. Is there something that I can mix with the chocolate that will keep it from melting when it’s hard? I need to figure something out that will prevent it from melting but also not compromise the taste. Anyone know of anything?
Thank you ![]()
Thanks everyone ^.^
I would not try to change the chocolate.
They have small cooler bags that you can get, call UPS, Fed Ex and DSL and ask about them first
I bought a chocolate pen thing at spencers gifts the other day and I got it home and it was all watered down and it expired 5/2009 and I don’t want to use it being its expired.
Can I return it?
If you have the receipt and the date is after May 31, 2009 then yes. They are not supposed to sell it if it is expired.
Do you bake chocolatey treats for friends and family for Christmas?? things like fudge, brownies, cookies, anything!! the more creative the treats are the better!!!
Please share your favorite recipes!!!! thank you!!!!!!!
This is wonderful for Christmas and is chocolaty
Christmas Log Recipe
3 large (1 1/2 lb. ) Hershey’s plain chocolate bars
2 C. chopped nuts
1 large pkg. miniature marshmallows
2 T. butter
Place butter and nuts in a shallow pan and heat in a 325° F oven for 15 minutes. Let nuts drain and cool.
Melt the Hershey bars in a double boiler, but do not let the water boil. Butter a sheet of waxed paper (about 1 foot long). Add marshmallows and nuts into the melted chocolate.
Pour chocolate mixture onto waxed paper and shape into a log. Use butter on your hands. Wrap the log with the waxed paper and aluminum foil. Refrigerate. To serve slice when cool.
A dear friend of mine is in Australia (after moving from London) and just for the fun of it I want to send him a small (small) box of unique gifts. I have considered local chocolate samples & crayola crayons, but I am drawing a blank after that. Are there some people who have traveled and can clue me in on items that aren’t easy to find in Australia?
We have crayola crayons in Australia.
I do know your chocolate is different, but we have specialty lolly shops that sell things from around the world.
While not cheap things like Levi jeans are really expensive in Australia.
Australia is becoming so Americanised that I can’t think of a thing, besides the chocolate bars. Just be carefull with food as our quarantine is very strict.
I recently went to AC Moore craft shop to see if they have Christmas molds and they don’t have any? I’m thinking of making Christmas chocolate pops as gifts? Does anybody knows anywhere else I can get them? I like anything with Santa or a snowman?
Thank You
You should try Ebay and of course Martha Stewart and the Food Network…all should have them good luck!-7cats

Not all girls are satisfied with flowers and chocolates on Valentine’s Day. What are some more creative ideas to make her feel special?

Best one I ever did, went to her work (boss already knew) around lunch with her overnight bag. Put her in the car, drove to a cabin on then sunshine hinterland. She had a 3 hour day spa pamper pack ( I joined in) and candle light dinner on the lake all by ourselves.
She still talks about it and that was 6 years ago.
