how can you make dark chocolate hot chocolate be milk chocolate?

I have a ton of dark chocolate hot chocolate mix, but i hate dark chocolate, so can i add anything to make it milk chocolate flavored? thanks!

Chocolate is a very tricky food. But in your particular case you have a hot chocolate mix, assuming it is a powder mix, not a solid piece of chocolate.

You can do a couple of things:
(1) Buy some white chocolate powder (or vanilla powder) and mix one part dark with one part white.
(2) Or you can add sweetened condensed milk to your dark hot chocolate.

Is there a chocolate bar that exists that consists of both milk and white chocolate?

Milk chocolate recipe to use at home?

Posted by admin on June 30th, 2010 and filed under milk chocolate | 1 Comment »

What do I need to make milk chocolate at home? Ideally using liquid milk, but I can settle for powdered milk. I also don’t want to start with cocoa beans – what is the next step from there? Mostly I need amounts of each ingredient; proportions are important.
Thanks
Milk chocolate, like Hershey bars
Thanks

EDITED TO ADD:
Sorry, I misunderstood the question.
NEW ANSWER:
You cannot use whole milk in making milk chocolate because of the water content. You can use condensed milk but I do not have a recipe for that.
Milk chololate is easily made at homes and would cost much lesser than it is to buy out .. heres how its made.. take one cup of powdered sugar, one cup of milk powder, one heaped table spoon of cocoa powder, about half table spoon of butter, and to this add the minimum quantity of water required to make a thick batter.. place this batter on a stove and bring to a boil on a low flame… when the batter becomes thick ( shown in the clip ) stop the boiling, cool, pour into suitable moulds, cut, cool in a fridge and it gets ready ..then
EAT !

The ingredients for a cold glass of chocolate milk are the following: a glass of milk, 1-2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup, ………..or 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder dissolved in warm water if chocolate syrup is not available, plus 2 tablespoons white sugar.

How can i make Milk chocolate using dark chocolate?

I dont have milk chocalate but i do have dark chocolate what can i mix it with to make milk chocolate?

Far as I know, milk chocolate is actually dark chocolate with milk, not dark chocolate with dark, so no.

A quick search gathered no ways to make your own milk chocolate from dark chocolate, so I’m going to guess it’s not going to be a successful experiment – but who knows? You could figure it out, maybe no one has tried or felt like posting it on the internet.

Like the other woman said, maybe you could marble it for an interesting taste, I’ve never had that, perhaps try a smaller batch first. I don’t think it would work, but maybe. I think i would be easier to melt the dark and have it as a bottom, and have the white melted on top (They do seem to have different melting temperatures, so I would heat separately and start the white a little later since it apparently scorches easily).

This is what white chocolate is:

Is milk chocolate fatal to a 44 lbs Husky?

He ate about two cubes of it. I dropped it on the floor by mistake and he quickly grabbed it. I heard that there’s a toxic chemical in chocolate that is no good for dogs but I remember someone telling me that milk chocolate is not as dangerous as the cocoa itself???? I am confused.

You are right: cocoa has the toxin that is not healthy for dogs. That’s why white chocolate is okay to give dogs. The darker the chocolate the more dangerous to the dog. Your dog may have a bit of a tummy ache, or may vomit, or have loose stools as a result. And he may be just fine with no reaction. You may want to call your vet’s office just for your own reassurance, but I think it will be okay.
