Any ideas on how to go to the source and buy what I want wholesale without having to pick off of the limited-selection shelves of CostCo and the like?
Usually you can only buy wholesale through wholesale clubs, or if you have a distributors license as a retailer…meaning you are buying in order to re-sell something.
If you go to the source (powerbar.com) & click the buy now, they direct you to their online vendor REI.com. They sell your bar for $1.35 ea. they offer a 20% program, which brings it down to $1.08 but is still $16.20 per box plus shipping.
If Sams club also doesn’t have your flavor, you can order it cheapest at amazon.com. It’s 15.91 per box of 15. It qualifies for free shipping if you order $25 or more.
If you subcribe to the automatic delivery option, then it’s only $13.52 per box, & shipping is free…period.

Chris has won a shopping spree at a gourmet donut wholesale bakery. The bakery owners
have agreed to allow Chris to have 1 minute to gather as many boxes of donuts as
possible, with two restrictions: all donuts must remain in their original bulk boxes (partial
boxes are not allowed) and no more than ten pounds of donuts are to be chosen. Chris
has created a list of the types of donuts the bakery sells, the weight of each box and the
value per box (see table below). If Chris wants to end up with the most valuable ten
pounds of donuts, which boxes of donuts would he choose by using a greedy method?

most wholesale (restaurant/bakery supply) companies require that you buy a very large amount of boxes.
for example, you can get 250 for about $45.00…… this is a great buy, but only if you happen to be able to use 250 boxes!
try here…. you can get 5 boxes for $6.00… and they are very attractive for candy…

Your many wise words are beginning to sink in. There could be something in the karma malarky! Of course if I am going to participate in the wholesale slaughter of my erstwhile friends and companions (the chickens) it follows as some point it is all going to go dreadfully wrong.
Would I make peace if I turned the yard into a theme park?
As you would expect – Hetty (Chook No 1 – and with most to lose!) is all for it – and swears that she would take care of all the publicity work -(she’s good with words).
The only protests are coming from the cow and the ponies.
The cow assumes that men will come to oggle her ample bosoms and the ponies think that they are just going to be taken for a ride.
Am I opening up a can of worms that even the chickens won’t eat now that they are all so concerned about how they look and their weight?
I remember when life was so much simpler and all Ihad to worry about was a husband who stole chocolate out of the hen house!

I dont think it would help much turning the old place into a chook theme park but just in case you do, here is my opinion.
Hetty has a point here. She is already well known as she has had her 15 minutes of fame on Y!A and gathered many fans so she is the obvious choice for PA.
I agree with the cow completely, you know what men are like, they never get over their bosom fixation from birth to grave. Its nice to know she is such a lady so I think that a lovely cow bra (ask britney spears for that shiney number she wore the other night), would do very nicely.
As for the ponies, they would do well to stampede for the hills, riderless of course.
The worms can have their own worm farm and if that doesnt work then its the hen house for sure.
And lastly the feathered ladies are all dieting, after all who wants to eat a skinny chook.
I think you have bitten off more than you can chew with this lot. Next time find somewhere else to hide your chocolate but make sure the old goat doesnt find it. I dont mean the one that wandered in, I mean the one on the couch.
On Feb 12, I gave my girlfriend a cup of water with a note wrapped in the newspaper classifieds in it. She was rich and had devices that could scan things. I don’t know if she scanned it or if she just took the note out and read it, but she said that it didn’t reveal it’s contients and it could only be one thing; a suprise continuum. It was the 13TH when she got back to me and she asked me to work on a project for 7 years to impress her. I said "OK and remember tomorrow is Valentine’s Day.". I went out to a grocery store and asked to buy a nice chocolate treat in wholesale and gave it to her the next day. The next year I bougght her a card, then my gifts did decline in value until the 7th year when I gave her a note that didn’t make any sense and left it for her in a way that no-one else could. I was having a cigarette and I saw her. She explained this to me and as she walked away I. I held on to her and threw a knife with a Rose on it at the door with a note that said happy Fri 13
