Would making chocolate molded spoons to make 250 wedding favors be cheaper to make than it is to buy gifts?

i’m not sure what type of chocolate you need to use to make molds, or how expensive it will be? I want to stay in budget, but i also want my guests to have something nice. did i say i have 250 guests.. if anyone knows of any ideas, of inexpensive favors please help

You want to go to a candy supply store or find one online and get candy melts. It will actually be cheaper to buy it there than at the supermarket. The last time I bought them I think I paid around $13 for a 5 lb bag (at the supermarket you will pay $3 or more for a 10 -12 oz bag) you can also get all the bags and candy molds and twistie ties you will need and you will also be able to browse around and maybe get other ideas that you might like even better and there will be someone there to ask questions if you have any.

Good luck

I would check and see. You can look in Michaels Arts & Crafts and or AC Moore. Also you could search on-line. I hope that I helped you out.

If you have a cd burner you could burn love songs onto discs (some places you can 50 for $10– not including the cases) and put a picture (printed from your comp) of the two of you in the front of the cover. It’s cheap and will last longer than chocolate, mints or the sort.

you could just do chocolate dipped spoons. you can find heavy duty plastic spoons real reasonable. any kind of chocolate works. chocolate chips are easiest to meld down.
dip the spoons and add sprinkles (in your wedding colors if possible and then cool and wrap in colored wrap. and put your names, date or what ever.

    Cute idea.
Most favors are a waste. But what about those on a restricted diet?

I had the hall I used put a Lindt chocolate truffle that I had bought on each dinner plate in alternating colors. green and gold. Girls wore green and carried sunflowers. it was cheap but a nice touch to the tables. most people throw out the favors anyway unless it’s a nice frame or something of the sort and those cost more money than I’m sure you want to spend.
