I made gourmet hot chocolate which took me about 20 minutes to make last night. It was made with whole milk, half and half and real chocolate. Whats the best way to reheat it to preserve its taste? Is it ok to microwave it? if so, for how long?
You could microwave it, but I find that using the microwave can be unpredictable.
The safest way would be to re-heat on the stove top at a low heat. It may take a little longer, but it will be worth it in the end.

nuke it for 30 sec, stir, give it another 15 or so sec.

I agree with the person who said to re-heat on the stove using gentle heat. till warm I find the microwave changes the taste somewhat. When I do coffee in it, it has kind of a metallic taste.

on the stove. if it’s in the glass container put the glass container in water… or put it in a glass container (heat resistant) and then put it in hot water

You can REHEAT THE CHOCOLATE: in the double boiler so it will harden with a perfect consistency. Make sure that you are constantly stirring it so that it will not stick. Hope this help.
